Down a country road in the heart of the Walla Walla Wine Country lays a Farmhouse Brewery like no other. That brewery is called Dragon's Gate.

Set on a 10-acre farm amongst orchards, vineyards, and fields of wheat, Dragons Gate Brewery is a brewery that brews Farmhouse and Belgian style ales that are brewed with passion and steep in tradition.

Our Story

The inspiration for Dragon’s Gate started after we brewed our first batch of homebrew on a stove in our old apartment in Laguna Beach. Locking up our cat, dressed in full hazmat gear, we sanitized our kitchen and homebrew equipment thoroughly watching the pot for almost three hours in anticipation until that first bubble appeared and boiled.

Weeks following we looked at each other in pure amazement after popping open that first bottle. For one- it actually worked! And two- our first batch of homebrew kicked ass! At that moment….Dragon's Gate Brewery lay dormant in the recess of our minds for many, many years.

Fast forward a few years... We packed things up and moved to Jennifer's childhood hometown in the Walla Walla Valley, purchased "the farm", converted an old cow barn to a brewery/tasting room and opened Dragon's Gate Brewery - Farmhouse Ales.

At Dragon's Gate Brewery, we are inspired by the rich brewing traditions of the the old world, characterized by thoughtfully sourced quality ingredients and unhurried process, while reflecting on the changing seasons and culinary heritage.

Our ales are crafted to be enjoyed at the table paired with good food, friendship and conversation.

We brew all of our ales on a rotating seasonal basis and not all ales are available all the time. We offer 5-7 different ales on tap in our farmhouse tasting room.

Dragon’s Gate Brewery located in the Walla Walla Valley is set on a 10-acre farm. Our tasting room is in a converted barn and our brewhouse, barrel room, and fermentation area are located in the adjoining brewery.

Our beer garden is a perfect place to enjoy a picnic lunch, sample cheeses and of course our farmhouse ales. We offer plenty of seating or just bring a blanket and relax on the grass.

The beer garden offers spectacular views of the surrounding Blue Mountains and vineyards in the area. The picnic area is surrounded by our culinary garden and our “Estate Grown Hop Yard.” The hops we grow are Saaz, Hallertau, Magnum, Cascade, Centennial, Sterling, Willamette, Mt. Hood, and our own wild hop we call Drallion.

Dragon’s Gate is a brewery experience like no other and can’t be missed.
